The county FA have been in touch with the club to make us aware of an incident at a grassroots game in Shropshire this weekend, where a young player suffered a Cardiac Arrest on the pitch.
Thankfully, due to the swift action of football volunteers, the boy’s life was saved and he is in a stable condition in hospital.
Due to this, Shropshire FA would like to reiterate that the FA do have an online Sudden Cardiac Arrest course, that can be completed in less than an hour. It is really important that we all know what to do, should someone become seriously ill in front of us. Not just in football, but anywhere in life.
We would like to encourage all our coaches, parents/guardians/carers and spectators to complete this short course. It really could save someone’s life.
